Preventative Support Groups
Preventative support groups include family mediation, guys group, girls group, youth diversion, tutoring services, school engagement services and other support groups. The preventative support groups are designed to intervene early, reduce risk factors, and strengthen protective factors that support long term stability and well-being for youth and families. These groups provide structured, trauma informed spaces where youth build skills, process challenges, and develop positive connections with peers and supportive adults. Services are delivered through a combination of curriculum-based group sessions, one-on-one mentoring, and coordinated family engagement.
Homework Haven
Homework Haven offers homework assistance and tutoring year round for youth ages 10-17.
Homework Haven meets every Mondays at the SAFE Haven of Racine Youth Shelter from 4:30 – 5:30 pm.

Girls Group
SAFE Haven hosts a girls group, called Sisterhood for girls 10-17 years old, every Tuesday from 4:30 pm until 6:00 pm at the 16th Street COP house located at 1900 16th Street.
Girls will focus on independent living skills, building self-esteem, develop healthy relationships and hands on activities. Dinner will be served.
Please note that all participants need to be registered, with parent consent and emergency contact information to participate in programming. Guys Group
SAFE Haven hosts the Guys Group Leadership program for boys 8-17 years old, on Thursdays 5:00 until 6:30 pm at the 16th Street COP house located at 1900 16th Street. This program builds self-esteem, creates healthy relationships between peers and staff, increases independent living skills, and emotional intelligence. Dinner will be served.
