Youth Shelter
At the heart of the organization is the SAFE Haven of Racine eight bed State licensed youth shelter that offers 24 hours per day, 7 days a week crisis support and stabilization services. Youth ages 10-17, who have runaway, are victims of human trafficking, are neglected or abused, or having a family crisis receive the following: specialized intensive counseling and short term emergency shelter. Youth are provided with a safe alternative to the streets and an opportunity to solve problems.

The SAFE Haven Youth Shelter provides emergency shelter, food, and clothing, to hundreds of youth annually. SAFE Haven works to assure that youth obtain social and emotional well-being, permanent connections, education or employment and safe and stable housing. SAFE Haven employs a Positive Youth Development approach and provides a trauma informed environment and trauma sensitive interventions. Staff are well trained in strategies and methods to best address the youth who are served. Outreach, education and prevention deter runaway and abusive behaviors; assessment, case management, referral and aftercare provide ongoing intervention. SAFE Haven provides immediate safety and security, facilitates family reunification (if possible), strengthens family relationships and empowers constructive youth actions in a solution focused, asset based, positive youth development model. The organization is actively involved in state and local collaborative efforts to address the needs of our at-risk youth.
