Middle School Engagement Program
SAFE Haven of Racine offers the School Engagement Program to assist youth, parents, and caregivers in engaging and motivating students to achieve success at school, home and in the community in order to deter truant behaviors.

Referral
School Social Worker makes a referral to School Engagement Program.
School Engagement Case Manager, School Social Worker, Youth and Parent meet to assess the situation.
Parent and youth voluntarily consent to accept services.
Home Visit
The School Engagement Case Manager will administer the Youth Risk and Resilience Inventory.
With the results of the Youth Risk and Resilience Inventory youth will establish goals and objectives with input of parent.
Parent establishes goals and objective for themselves
Family Sessions
Opportunity for discussion of progress and concerns.
Review of the individual and family goals.
The School Engagement Case Manager will make referrals to other professionals and services as needed.
Summer Agenda
- Tutoring
- Family and individual sessions
- 8th graders receive a high school tour, meet principals and counselors, create schedule, and meet teachers
- Weekly engagement groups with SAFE Haven of Racine
